Swim-step:
The swim step has (6) SS staple rails for safety, there are several popup cleats for tying up the tenders. On both the port and starboard are hydraulic warping winches for snugging up lines. Another very cool feature is the Kyak and paddle board storage lockers on both the port and starboard side transom. on the inboard side of the stairwell is access to the 160 Gallon gasoline pumping station. on the centerline is access thru a watertight door into the engineers quarters, head, electrical switching gear and vessel monitoring computer screen. Back on the transom there are both port and starboard wrap around stairwells leading to the aft deck.
The covered aft deck has a settee that spans around the transom positioned around a glass front lighted bait tank table that can be viewed from the salon. At both aft stern quarter cleats are another set of hydraulic warping winches. along the forward bulkhead is the double sliding glass doors in the center line, a ladder to the port leads up the the boat deck and below that is an escape hatch for the engineers quarters. On the starboard side is a countertop with a sink with storage below and a U-line ice maker. All decks are moulded nonskid.
The side decks are un-obstructed all the way forward, the cap rails are varnished teak topped with a polished stainless steel hand railing. There is a boarding gate to the starboard that is close to the door leading up to the pilothouse, the boarding gate on the port is close to the galley entrance door. Moving forward you will find a large sunbathing pad on the centerline that hides a storage locker below that is activated with hydraulic rams. To the port ,Starboard and aft of this sun pad is storage lockers for lines and fenders. The anchoring system is a dual Hydraulic Muir windlass/capstan with dual large Galvanized fluke style steel pocket anchors with 400' of 3/4" galvanized chain on each side. access to the chain locker can be had thru a Freeman water tight hatch. there is also a hydraulically operated stern anchor. The forward trunk cabin has a nonskid surface so you can safely access the pilothouse windows.
Entering through the aft double sliding glass doors is access into the luxurious carpeted main salon, to the port is (3) Furuno multi displays and a countertop with a cabinet below that houses the vessels stereo and A/V equipment and storage as well. To the starboard is the lutron lighting controls and the vessels phone and intercom, along the aft bulkhead is a counter top with storage for liquor bottles and glassware. Down the starboard side is a long counter with loads of storage below. There are two leather sofas and two leather recliners facing the TV that pops up out of a beautiful burl cabinet with wood columns on either side. This cabinet nicely separates the salon from the formal dining area and on the forward side it houses dining ware. The beautiful burl inlaid table is set up with (6) chairs but can easily seat (8) Along the forward bulkhead is a beautiful cabinet that displays an art piece behind glass with bookshelves on either side, along the lower section is storage for dinnerware. At the port side forward bulkhead behind a hidden door is a GE upright freezer, access to the main deck circuit breakers, and access to the air-conditioned pilothouse electronics doghouse.
Moving forward along the companion way, inboard is access up to the pilothouse, next is access to the lower accommodations then forward of that is the day head. There is a door that leads out to the side deck with windows all along this area providing loads of natural light. Moving further forward inboard is access to the large galley with two entrances with pocket doors, on either side of these entrances are (3) floor to ceiling pantry cabinets. Continuing further forward will provide you access to the crews quarters that can be closed off for privacy.
The large galley has an access door to the side deck to port and can be closed off by the two pocket doors providing privacy to the guests dining. there is an L shaped settee along the port aft bulkhead with a floor mounted triangular table. The countertops are all corian with a moulded sea-rail lip and a moulded double sink. The center island is cantilevered on the aft side that has two free standing bar stools. on the forward side are two ovens and one cooktop with an extraction fan overhead. forward of the island is the Subzero fridge freezer combo. There are loads of storage cabinets above and below all around in the galley.
Galley Appliances;
Upon entering the crews quarters fwd you will see an L shaped settee with a Corian triangular table. below the settee is access to the forward bilge area through a floor mounted freeman watertight hatch. On the forward bulkhead is a Corian countertop with moulded sink, Thermador cooktop, above the sink is a GE Microwave and next to that is a Subzero fridge freezer combo. There is a small TV located on the inboard bulkhead above (2) Furuno multi display units and the vessels phone /intercom above the settee. The crew Quarters can Accommodate (5) there are (3) bunks forward, an over under on the starboard side and a single to port, plenty of storage above and below as well as an emergency escape hatch in the overhead. Forward to the starboard is one of the crew heads with a moulded Corian countertop/sink, tiled floor and a microphor head. The separate captains quarters to port can sleep (2) in a double bunk, there is a captains desk on the aft bulkhead, opening portlight and lots of storage above and below. Forward of this is the private head with Corian countertop/sink, tiled floor, Microphor head and fiberglass shower stall with glass door.
The easily accessible day head is equipped with a Headhunter royal flush toilet with a Toto washlet Bidet seat. beautiful stone countertop with pewter sink lots of mirrors and a finished wood pocket door.
Access to the lower accommodations can be had via a stairwell just aft of the day head. At the lower foyer you have linen/towel storage all around, plus a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. Forward is access to the (2) carpeted guest staterooms, each stateroom is nearly identical just a mirror image of one another, each has a athwartship double bunk with storage below, above are two large opening port lights behind sliding beautiful back lit Shoji screen blinds, both have large hanging locker spaces and countless drawers all around. Inboard each have a well lit vanity area with an upholstered stool below. Each stateroom has a recessed TV and ships phone/intercom and disable lighting. Both guest heads have finished wood floors, stone countertops with beautiful pewter sinks, loads of storage above and below and a well lit vanity mirror. On the inboard side is the large Corian and tiled shower stall with glass door and both are equipped with headhunter royal flush heads.
Moving aft is access to the master stateroom, On the centerline is a king sized berth, with nightstand drawers on each side, there is a custom art work headboard and a beautiful woodwork feature in the overhead. on either side of the forward bulkhead, are large cedar lined walk in hanging lockers and a wall mounted TV. forward outboard of that to the port side is a vanity with mirror and upholstered chair, on the starboard side is an office desk with loads of storage at each. Above are large opening port lights behind sliding beautiful back lit Shoji screens.
The master stateroom is equipped with his and her heads both have finished wood floors, opening port light, Stone like Corian countertops with pewter sinks, Headhunter royal flush heads, one is equipped with a Toto washlet bidet seat. the heads are joined at the center by a very large Corian shower with glass doors. There is also an emergency escape watertight door that leads into the tank room and then into the engine room.
Access to the pilothouse is made via a stairway along the starboard companion way. The helm wraps around a single stidd helm chair. along the after bulkhead is an elevated L shaped settee with table providing great visibility underway. off to the starboard is an elevated cozy pilot berth. aft of that is access to the flybridge via a sliding door.
Electronics list:
The flying bridge is accessed via the pilothouse or the ladder from the aft deck, this space is massive, it is covered with a fiberglass hardtop with stainless steel support stations and lighting. There is a helm on the centerline with a large bench seat that could easily seat 3. there are repeated electronics from the lower helm, such as chart plotter, radar, depth finders, engine gauges, VHF, ECT. The vessel is equipped with wing docking stations both port and starboard with great visibility bow to stern at each.
Aft and outboard are two large L shaped settee's each with a triangular table. great place for dining outdoors or hanging out underway.
Making your way to the boat deck under the retractable mast, there is a short door to separate this area in the event you have small children or pets. Up against the back of the settees to the port is a new TEC infrared BBQ next to that is a recessed sink, a Scotsman ice maker, and U-line drink fridge. To the Starboard there is built in cold plate chest freezer. Outboard of both of these cabinets tucked underneath is access to the salon air handlers.
Moving back to the boat deck located on the centerline you will find the super clean 2001 180 Grady White Sportsman with a 2014 150 hp Evenrude E-Tec outboard, this vessel is loaded with features like a ridged mounted Bimini top, down rigger mounts, rod holders, Compass, VHF, Furuno GPS/Chart plotter/Depth finder, Raymarine ST60 depth finder.
Outboard and to the starboard of the Grady is the Novurania MX 430 with a 2005 Yamaha 60hp 4-stroke. Launching these tenders is mad easy with the massive Roskelley/Olsson Hydraulic davit crane. Aft of the tenders are (2) certified 6-person 74/SOLAS/96 life rafts.
Access to the engine room can be had from two ways, from the swim step through a watertight door that leads down into the engineers quarters and electrical switch gear room and then through another watertight door into the engine room. The other way is through the watertight door in the master head shower and then through another watertight door into the engine room between the fuel tanks.
The engineers quarters bunk is located to the port and there is a watertight hatch that provides access to the steering gear, stern thruster and other lazarette equipment.
The head is located on the starboard side just aft of the washer and dryer and has a sink and microphor head. the electrical switching gear is very extensive and has been upgraded along with the vessels maretron monitoring system. before entering the engine room to the port there is a set of back up engine controls vessels phone/intercom and a set of Furuno multi display monitors.
Engine room and mechanical features:
This vessel has been very well maintained and continuously upgraded all her life with an open checkbook. Not very often will you find a one owner 100' custom yacht that has lived in a boathouse all her life when not cruising. Shadowfax truly is a turn key vessel that you must see to appreciate.
